The family is preparing to say their final goodbyes to Jessica McLaughlin, a young woman who was allegedly brutally assaulted by her 7-Eleven manager and put on life support.

Police are still looking for the woman they believe was involved in the alleged attack at the convenience shop in Los Angeles more than a week later.

Family members said they plan to remove McLaughlin from life support after authorities claim an argument sparked the incident.

In a GoFundMe account created to assist with his sister’s burial costs, Sean McLaughlin stated that the 24-year-old went to work on June 24 at the 7-Eleven location in the 5700 block of Melrose Avenue.

According to her family, the young woman was assaulted inside the business by an unnamed manager. After receiving a battery report, the Los Angeles Police Department arrived just after 2:00 p.m. and discovered an unconscious woman. The battle began as an argument between the two ladies, according to a 911 caller.

Based on a witness who witnessed the altercation and reported it to the police, McLaughlin’s family claims that her manager assaulted her following the dispute.

In the post regarding the manager who remained anonymous, Sean McLaughlin said that she pinned her down, sat on top of her, and prevented her from breathing.

According to Clancey McLaughlin, KTLAthat almost ten minutes were spent without oxygen reaching his daughter’s brain.

He indicated that she was essentially ruled brain dead at this point.

He said that on the day of the attack, McLaughlin was leaving work when the suspect grabbed his daughter by the hair and bullied her at work.

According to her family, McLaughlin passed out after managing to escape her assailant. She said she was having trouble breathing and instructed her coworkers to dial 911.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was notified by the 911 caller that McLaughlin was unconscious and that although CPR had been administered, she had not been revived.

According to LAFD, she was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The suspect’s description has not been made public by the police. According to LAPD spokesperson Officer Kevin Peres, as of Tuesday, the agency has no new information about the current investigation.

7-Eleven said in a statement that the employee who got into the altercation had been let go and that they were assisting the authorities with their investigation.

The business released a statement saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected during this trying time.”

According to the GoFundMe campaign, McLaughlin’s family said she was an innocent victim.

According to her family, she suffered significant brain damage from oxygen deprivation and never regained consciousness.

Her brain was dead. Sean McLaughlin stated, “We have to make the difficult decision to let her go after getting second opinions and doing everything we could.”

We’re now attempting to give her the farewell she merits. We wish to provide her with a lovely service that celebrates her identity and the depth of her love.

McLaughlin’s family stated that they intended to remove him from life support on Wednesday.
