Six SoCal teens, as young as 14, shot at party, police say. Five suffer life-threatening injuries

Riverside County officials report that six teenagers were shot at a party in Moreno Valley on Saturday, five of them were critically injured.

Around 11 p.m. on Saturday, sheriff’s deputies were called to a complaint of gunfire in the Inland Empire city’s 12000 block of Orchid Lane.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found four other male victims who had also been shot, in addition to the initial man victim who had several gunshot wounds.

After receiving on-scene care and being transported to a nearby hospital, the victims’ injuries were deemed life-threatening. It was then discovered that a sixth male juvenile who had been shot was also involved in the incident after he arrived at the hospital separately.

The victims were between the ages of 14 and 18.

Sheriff’s deputies were unsure of how the incident happened and were unable to identify a suspect at the crime scene. As of Sunday afternoon, authorities were still looking into the situation.
