Authorities said that two brothers who vanished three weeks ago were discovered dead last week after being involved in a traffic accident on a California highway.
According to a California Highway Patrol news release, an overturned vehicle was discovered by a California Department of Transportation employee on June 25 at 10:30 a.m. hidden in dense bush in an embankment along State Route 166 close to Old Sierra Madre Road, east of Santa Maria.
According to the announcement, when CHP and emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they discovered a blue 1998 GMC Sierra 1/2-ton pickup truck. Authorities verified that the crash had claimed the lives of two adult men.
According to the announcement, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office has connected the car to a missing person case. To locate the missing, CHP was sent out along State Route 166 on June 18.
We regret to inform you that a road accident has claimed the lives of two people. “During this difficult time, our thoughts and deepest condolences are with their families and loved ones,” CHP Acting Commander Sean Kelly stated in the statement.
According to SFGate, the two men were James Fuller, 61, and his brother, Eric Fuller, 60, who departed on June 6 for a medical visit in Santa Maria. Their pals reported them missing.
Family members and friends of Fullers attested to the death of their loved ones in the collision.
We conducted a ceaseless quest for 21 long days. According to a GoFundMe website, we hiked as much as we could, followed every clue, and even got a message from someone who claimed to have seen the truck close to a hairpin curve. However, CHP was unable to search without a specific location because they had already searched unsuccessfully a few days earlier. The agony, the helplessness, and the wait have been indescribable.
None of us had prayed for this result. We have broken hearts. We miss Rick and Eric very much, and their absence fills a void in our hearts.
