Two of the studio’s films have made over $500 million worldwide: Apple’s “F1,” which Warner Bros. released, sold over $509 million in tickets, while “Superman” shot to $502 million.
Warner Bros.’ DC Studios benefits from the landmark because “Superman” marks James Gunn and Peter Safran’s first theatrical appearance since they were appointed co-heads of the film and TV division in late 2022. The two have created a 10-year plan to revitalize the studio’s film and television properties, including new Batman and Superman adaptations.

“Superman” from 2025 is currently the fourth-highest-grossing Superman movie. According to Comscore data, Zack Snyder’s 2016 film “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has the greatest worldwide ticket sales of $874 million, followed by “Man of Steel” (2013) with $669 million and “Justice League” (2017) with $661 million.
Just two weeks after its theatrical launch, “Superman” is still a popular weekend and weekday moviegoer.
Regarding Apple’s “F1,” the studio is pleased to have reached the $500 million milestone. Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon,” which made $221 million during its 2023 run, was surpassed by the movie earlier this month to become Apple’s highest-grossing theatrical release ever.
