“We’ve reached a point where it feels finished,” Duhamel said. Now it’s totally livable.
He went on, “It’s so back to the basics,” “We get so accustomed to all these luxuries and these amenities that we have and I think that’s what this is for me it’s an opportunity to get back to the basics and really enjoy the simple things in life, and that’s family, that’s friends, that’s making memories.”
In terms of family, the “Safe Haven” actor, who has an 11-year-old son named Axl with his ex-wife Fergie and an 18-month-old son named Shepherd with his wife Audra Marias, enjoys spending time in nature with the people he cares about the most.
“It’s fun because we’re in the middle of the woods,” he exclaimed. There are otters swimming with their young everywhere, and bald eagles may be seen everywhere.
Although coexisting with wildlife could seem like a wonderful experience, there are drawbacks.
Duhamel said, “We are always battling the mice to keep them out of the cabins. We always have to contend with the conflict between nature and man.
