Just before 8:30 p.m. on August 8, National City Police were called to allegations of gunfire in Kimball Park in National City.
When police got on the scene, they found that a 17-year-old man had been shot during a fight between several young men. Officers discovered that before they arrived on the location, the suspect had left. The victim was sent to a nearby trauma unit after suffering a potentially fatal injury. As this press release is being written, detectives are still looking into the case.
