Melania Trump, the first lady, threatened to sue Hunter Biden if he did not take back remarks that connected her to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, made two remarks in an interview with British journalist Andrew Callaghan this month that Trump finds offensive. He claimed that Epstein introduced Donald Trump, who is currently president, to the first lady.

In a letter to Biden, Alejandro Brito, Melania Trump’s attorney, claimed that the claims were incredibly lurid, false, and defamatory. He claimed that the first lady suffered severe financial and reputational damage as a result of Biden’s comments, which were extensively shared on social media and covered by international media sources.
The Epstein remarks came during a lengthy interview in which Biden attacked Democratic Party leaders and others who he claims denigrated his father prior to his withdrawal from the presidential race last year.
