The expansive vistas, refreshing breezes, and perhaps a unique and delectable occasion may be the reasons for a chairlift.Snow Summit Big Bear is well-known for its wintry delights, which include days that are suitable for skiing and span several cold months. However, the enticing theme over a few August evenings will be BBQ rather than bundling up, along with the refreshing chance to spend time with the sun as it sets. No matter where you are, it is always a remarkable time, but if you are in the mountains, you may even catch a glimpse of alpenglow, the pastel peaks and colorful sky that accompany the last rays of the day.
During the last two weekends of August, Snow Summit will host THE SKYLINE AT SUNDOWN FESTIVITIES, which will conclude the summer season. The agenda includes live music, a “buffet-style dinner” (think barbecue), and an opportunity to start the fun in the base area before moving on to the mountaintop dining area.It is a “all ages” event, and the cost is $40 per person. You’ll still be eating up there during the Golden Hour, which seems like a magnificent decision, regardless of what the alpine glow moment has to offer. That’s good to know. August is a popular month for up-high dinners at other mountain resorts in California before the colder months arrive.
