Just before 1 p.m., MTS sent out an alert warning passengers on the Blue Line trolley of delays of 15 to 20 minutes.

Caleb Reyes, who was working on a taco truck nearby at the time of the crash, told NBC 7 that he witnessed a man get hit by the trolley and flying off his bike.

“I noticed the train passing by while I was working and taking a customer’s order,” Reyes added. I caught sight of a man crossing the track. The collision was audible as it reverberated. Then I noticed a man soaring at least seven or eight feet above the ground.

Reyes warned people to exercise caution, saying he was astounded by what he witnessed.
