A 28-year-old man walking on the Inland Rail Trail bike path in North County was killed early Sunday morning by a woman who drove for miles on a bike path, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Investigators said the driver was 38-year-old Jessica Boykin, and was behind the wheel of a black Toyota RAV4 on West Mission Road at North Pacific Street in San Marcos a little before 7:30 a.m. when she left the street and turned onto the Inland Rail Trail, staying on the bike path for four miles before the Vista woman hit the man, a National City resident, near the Buena Creek Sprinter Station.
