In Victorville, a mother who let her 12-year-old child maneuver a car during a test drive was hurt and may face criminal charges after the automobile struck her, forcing her to drop her baby.
At approximately 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies showed up at the gated Rancho Seneca apartment complex, which is located close to the 15 Freeway.
The mother, whose identity was withheld, was found to have permitted her 12-year-old to try to transfer the family car into the complex’s parking lot.
With the baby in her arms, the mother watched from a distance as the tween guided the car to the location. The baby was dropped when the mother fell to the ground after the car door slammed into her as she was parking.
