When it comes to a smooth birth, Baby Golden Raye Mahomes undoubtedly set the bar high.
During the playoffs, quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and his wife Brittany welcomed their third child into the world. She joined her older siblings, Patrick Bronze and Sterling Skye, who are four years old. Mahomes, Lavon III, 2.

In the new six-part ESPN series “The Kingdom,” Brittany’s third trimester coincides with the Chiefs’ 2024 football season. It provides viewers with a glimpse into the Mahomes family’s everyday routine, and Golden appears briefly and drowsily in the last episode.
“Golden was born on January 12th,” Patrick stated during an interview that was broadcast on TV. “Everything went perfectly. Brittany informed me that we had to take a break before to the season, and we were granted the bye week.
“Brittany crushed it,” Patrick added, obviously pleased of his family. I spent the whole day watching playoff games. After one game, she went into labor. Before the next game, the baby arrived. I therefore didn’t miss a single playoff game.
He continued, “She is as locked in as I am as far as football goes.”

Brittany also seemed excited about Patrick’s contribution to their family. She stated in a different on-screen interview that “when he’s not on in football, he’s locked in on being a dad, and being the best dad he can be.”
Six days after giving birth, the new mother pulled together and went to Patrick’s next playoff game on January 19.
Despite the Chiefs’ eventual loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl, Patrick appeared to sincerely value his family’s support.
“It’s been really cool to see my family grow up watching me play football, and I want them to be a part of all those moments,” he stated. “And I want to be a part of all their moments as well.”
