Suspect at large after allegedly robbing bank with note: SDPD

Authorities said Tuesday that a guy in his 20s stole an unknown sum of money from a bank in the Clairemont Mesa East district of San Diego after allegedly passing a note to a cashier.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the non-violent robbery took place Monday at approximately 4 p.m. in a shopping mall close to the intersection of Genesee Avenue in the 5500 block of Balboa Avenue.

According to authorities, the suspect then fled the bank in an unidentified direction. He was described as a male who was 5 feet 8 inches tall and dressed in brown slacks, a hooded sweater, and a black cap.

The department’s detectives arrived and began looking into the robbery.
